  1. Yes agreed, “direct blood to blood contact” is the key word.
    Please remember that the jet-gun used in mass inoculation for baby-boomers, veterans, and third-world countries (all currently experiencing a HCV epidemic) punctures the skin and any blow-back blood will contaminate/infect others. The DOD, CDC, FDA, and WHO no longer endorse them for this possibility.
    Many patients (and medical professionals) still do not make this logical connection to explain transmission.
    Please include the jet-gun in risk factors to help more people get tested and treated.
